A Hint of Disney

(1/1)

jbwolffiv:
A few weeks back I attended the Mid Atlantic Air Show in Reading, PA.  I had a great time with my father and spent about 5 hours just shooting WWII aircraft.  This B-25 caught my eye right away, seeing as its nose art was none other than Panchito from the 3 Caballeros.  Just a little bit of Disney out in Reading that day.

Disney characters were used on a few noses.  Looks like Panchito is ready to join in the fight.  Have to remember how different it was back then.  Cartoons were used in war propaganda big time.

ddindy:
Nice catch, John.

The National Museum of the US Air Force in Dayton, Ohio has an exhibit dedicated to the Disney Studios contributions to the war effort.  The museum is definitely worth a day of your time if you're ever in the area.

jbwolffiv:
I was there back in the summer of 94, but OT is on my father and my list of summer trip ideas!
