It was.  On my cruise a few years back I went on the fishing excursion.  We travelled by boat out around the seawall and the back side of the boat (what you cant see from the shore) is completely open.  Similar to the Streets of America at DHS.  Even then they said that they were having huge problems with rust.

Great stuff guys, I just saw this pop up on Facebook, and thought some of you might be interested in it so here is the link.  Apparently you can make a "free" photo book of your cruise now.  I haven't checked out the find print yet, but they are saying it is free.
