Mickey's Fire Sword

Mickey Mouse welding his fire sword in Fantasmic!



Click on photo to see its flickr page and technical data.

Used the Nikon 70-200VR f/2.8 lens and my tripod (as a monopod with legs folded). Cleaned up the noise from an older sensor with Noise Ninja.

mickey is very nice and sharp.  impressive.
one thing that caught my eye, though, is did you knock down the highlights in the sparks?  they seem muddier than the rest of the pic, which is fantasmic!

The highlights in the sparks went with the highlights I had to reduce elsewhere in the photo.  Aperture 2 doesn't have the brushes which might have allowed me to keep the fireworks less muddy.  Although, the fireworks were very blown out.
