My Disney 2010 'bucket list"
« on: Feb. 19, 2010 05:29 PM »
Going back to My Laughing Place at the end of May and this time I'll be armed with a new camera, 4 new lenses and a whole lot of better skills. The last time I went my main things to capture (after being inspired by Tim's photos) were dark ride photos, the castle at night and EPCOT at night. I achieved all my goals and this time I have a whole new list and thought I'd share. First we're going to Universal Studios for two nights then we're headed over to the Beach Club for five nights...

1. Harry Potter World!!! 'Nuff said
2. A night photograph of Mickey's Sorcerer hat in DHS.
3. UWA shots throughout the parks.
4. Tigers at AK
5. Photos that actually have me in them!!!
6. Better photos of the Haunted Mansion than what I currently have.
7. Dumbo shot at night showing motion.
8. Monorail with the tram in EPCOT
9. All the little details that you may not notice in the buildings.

Any other ideas for things to photograph? I'd love the challange!!!

An animal doing something "icky" (use your imagination for that one, this is a family friendly site!)

Hi Jim,

I looked over your photography site, Nice stuff!  I'm amazed at the hummingbird shot.

I think your bucket list is on the money for "get a shot of the monorail" in the Epcot shots.  I think your pics of Epcot are sweet, but would be perfect if you'd gotten the monorail on the track.

Just an FYI, on your "About Me" page, in the second to the last paragraph, you left out a word (I think it is supposed to be "computer").  It's the sentence where you talk about taking the photos and what you do with them.

My Beach Club Villa countdown is getting closer as well.  I hope to take some good shots this time around, but since we are going with no kids (first time in 18 years), it may be more of a rest and relax trip.

Regards,

Boris

Thanks for the compliments Boris! And thank you for letting me know about my profile, I went on and corrected it.
The monorail shot is on my bucketlist and was on my list from my last visit. I sat there waiting and waiting and finally had to go catch up with my wife and daughter, so I took the shot and left. And don't you know as soon as my stuff was packed up the monorail came along!!!
The hummingbird shot was taken in Colorado and I stood still about 10 feet away from the feeder for 20 minutes until the hummingbirds started coming back again. Then I had to wait for a more colorful one to come along so all in all I was there for about 50 minutes. The things we do for photography! Have a great time at the Villas!!!

Oh and Figment...yeah not too sure about that one!!! But I'll see if I can get a little creative with it!
