PIXELMANIA! - Mickey's Toontown Fair Shootout
« on: Feb. 07, 2010 06:52 PM »
I finally got around to processing my Toontown photos.  Haven't seen anyone else's so here is a place for them.  :)

I used the Tokina 11-16 for all my Toontown photos.

Good shots Scott.

Don't forget, her larger and younger sibling is still going to be open on the West Coast!

Hopefully it will still be there in April when we get there. My daughter really loved the west coast version. I'll have to fish around to see if I can find out if it will still be open.

Though I admittedly never really went to the place myself, the last 3 trips to WDW I strolled through just to mark it in my memory once I knew it would be gone.  I suppose I would have liked it when I was a kid...I usually write it off because it's too packed with families and strollers and hard to move around!  Didn't get there for Pixelmania though.  As for pics, I've snapped a few, for posterity, but nothing really artistic.

Great shots Scott!  I liked this area better when it was more dedicated to the birthday celebration.  I think it lost something when it became more of a permanent "temporary" area.

Getting some last time photos in Toon Town is my second stop at the Park (although technically the first stop is in Toon Town as well - the Princess Room and Pixie Hollow)...  Can't wait to see it one last time.

Great shots Scott! The first one is definitely my favorite. Never really explored the area until Pixelmania, but got a few shots for posterity. Anyone know when all the changes are expected to be finished?

I think 3 to 4 years.  While they are beginning this spring, I think the first order of business is to get Dumbo off the ground; heck DCA hasn't even started with the above ground structure for Ariel's Undersea Adventures yet!  I think a good portion will be open in 2 years though.

Nice shot of the easy chair.  My niece got a kick out of the MousKosh pants as both her sons live in them (well, the kid version  :) ) during the summer.

Reading on WDWMagic forums and the Disney website, it looks like the fences are starting to go up around the Toon Town Backlot areas.  Although the Disney website still shows the times for the Princess and Pixie Hollow Meet-n-Greets.  The tentative time for opening is sometime in 2013, so 3 years or so.
