When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."

Thanks--I was really amazed that I was able to do this handheld.  VR is a miracle worker!

Nice!  I really want to play around with a little flash and blur next time I'm down there...  I have a couple of ideas that could turn out really cool if I can make them work...

Very nice!  I wanted the same type of shot when I was there in March, but I had only brought my ultracompact with me, so I was limited to a 1-second shutter speed:

It's not as good as yours - it's funny how you can have thousands of shots, and think there is no way there could be anything you missed...then suddenly a photo idea dawns on you, or you see someone else take a really cool shot you never thought of.  I love slow shutter and motion blur shots, and have taken lots in Disney, but somehow had never done the teacups spinning until that night when I only had my pocket cam along!

I look forward to seeeing your flash experiments too.

I've never taken any night shots of the teacups. I guess I have something else to add to my list for my next trip.
