This week's theme: Flower and Garden Festival
« on: Mar. 24, 2012 12:50 PM »
In a vain attempt to liven up my Flickr stream, this week all photos were themed on the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival.

This first shot was from February 2012.  They already had some of the topiaries out.  Look closely and you can see the stars in the sky.

Two minutes to midnight

The rest of the shots are from April, 2011.

24 days until wdw, karen and i will be there at boardwalk villas, 4/17/12 - 4/24/12, flower and garden show, at least 1 trip to typhoon lagoon, and the trek at ak will be the expected highlights of this trip. once again the rig of choice will be the lumix gh2 plus assorted lenses, all in a nice relatively compact bag, weighing less than the 5dmk2 plus 24-105. although i am afraid temptation might arrive in the form of the 5dmk3, some have shipped from b&h, although i do not know where i am on the list. hopefully it won't arrive while i am away and have to spend precious vacation time on the phone with ups making hold arrangements, or worse it arrives 3 days before we leave and i have to fight off the temptation to learn on the fly. i'd prefer a more studious and contemplative learning of the 61 point autofocus

Thanks for the inspiration guys.  I'm finally going to get to see it myself next month - can't wait!  I'm just hitting the last day of the event, so hopefully they won't get aggressive and start dismantling anything on the final day!!

Thanks, Harry.  That's one of the reasons I bought that 50mm f/1.4. :)

Scott tells me he took a similar shot a few days later.  Let's see it!

I had another F&G theme week on Flickr.  As always, click through to Flickr for insightful commentary and technical details.
