“Dead Men (and women) Tell No Tales!”

Pirates of the Caribbean is one of my 2-3 favorite all-time attractions in Walt Disney World.  I remember being blown away as a little kid when I first rode the attraction, and I waited in anguish during the summer in which the attraction was down for its major Jack Sparrow refurbishment.  After a few more tweaks and additions we are now in the current iteration, complete with mermaids and all.

This shot was taken during Pixelmania 2013 and I really like the timing of the shot, as it features the skeletal mermaid and pirate in a dynamic composition that gives your eye plenty to follow.  You can almost hear the haunting refrain of “Dead Men Tell No Tales!” echoing through the caverns as you view this photograph.  The lighting was perfect and I made very minor tweaks in Lightroom to get the finished look.

Enjoy your day, everyone, and be sure to check all the good doings over at WDW360!
