Happy Easter to you and your family from The Magic in Pixels.  Hope the day is a blessed one for all of you and thanks for being such loyal followers and viewer of my work at The Magic in Pixels.  Without you the site would not exist and I want you to know how much you are appreciated and valued as fans and customers.  It is an honor to serve you and bring you content at the level you have come to expect.

What better a symbol for Easter than an egg and for this particular Picture of the Day I dug DEEP into the archives to my very first trip to Walt Disney World with a digital SLR (December, 2004) and found this image of the amazingly talented Jutta Levasseur.  Ms. Levasseur was a fixture in the Germany Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase, paining ostrich eggs with a Disney motif for many years, starting with the park’s inception in 1982.  For many, she was one of the quintessential Epcot cast-members and she entertained and informed for many, many years with her creations selling for quite a pretty penny.

Sadly, it seems Ms. Levasseur passed away a little less than two years ago (source) so Disney fans and the world in general will never again get to see her create one of her amazing works of art.  However, her spirit lives on and if you have photos of any of her creations, I would love to see them.  Please post them under this article in the WDW360 Forum!
