“Jack Sparrow Searches for the Treasure”

The witty and resourceful Jack Sparrow (“CAPTAIN… Jack Sparrow, if you please.”) clandestinely searches high and low for the treasure map despite the best efforts of the other pirates to hide it from him.

After being attacked by Captain Barbossa, Jack hides out in the town, first outside a clothing store and then in a barrel as a gluttonous pirate and his dog vainly proclaim that “[Sparrow] will NEVER find the treasure with a look at this here map and this lovely key to the treasure room.”  Little do they know that approximately 4 minutes later Sparrow will be surrounded by more treasure and riches than even HE could have imagined.

This photo was once again made with my Canon 1Dx with the EF 85 f/1.8 and had set the camera on shutter priority (Sp or Tv on the mode dial) at 1/125 sec with Auto ISO turned on to capture a sharp image.  Pirates of the Caribbean, although not the easiest dark ride to photograph, is very doable in nearly every scene.  It is great practice for refining your dark ride skills so get some good quality gear and hop to it!

Some minor tweaks in Lightroom completed the image.

If ONLY Pirates of the Caribbean in Walt Disney World could measure up to its big brother in Disneyland.  Sigh.
