“Epcot Monorail”

I was asked to post a photo of a monorail passing through Future World near Figment by @WDWphotoFan on Twitter.  This wide-angle photo was taken during Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival in 2012.  We waited while my boys played in the splash area between Future World and World Showcase while the monorail passed by.  The light was perfect, the sky was blue, and the water was nice and still.  Conditions were perfect.

The foreground features some of the pods for the Flower and Garden festival with an overlay of flowers on the ground under the monorail beam.  I love the way the flowers add color and depth to the shot and wish they could find a way to keep some of those flowers there all year ’round.

I love the reflection of the monorail in the water and this was entirely on purpose.  Of added note, I like taking photos of entire monorails, capturing the front and the back.  This is entirely a personal preference, of course.  Post processing consisted of adjusting the contrast, boosting the saturation and vibrance, and adding a very slight vignette.
